Who we are: 3 guys + 3 instruments + 3 different cultures = the Brendan Adams trio.
Our music: In this constellation the differences between us are what enhances the abilities of Markus De Pretto (Bass), Brendan Adams(guitar &vocals) and Alfred Vogel(Drums & Percussion) to create a full sound that spreads mellow vibes and paints beautiful pictures. A brief description of the music would be to say that it contains the pleasures of jazz, the easy appeal of pop, at certain points the drive of hip hop and certainly the pure sincerity and essence of folk.
Where we’re from: Singer/ Songwriter and guitarist Brendan is Capetonian (South Africa) and landed in Switzerland by default after an unfulfilling stay in the U.K. ... Our bassist, Markus, hails from St.Gallen (Switzerland) and is lovingly known by Alfred as ‘King of the Rhine’ due to the splendid view from his ancient farmhouse… Our passionate and vibrant drummer/ percussionist Alfred originates from and lives in the Bregenzerwald (Austria).
How we got together: Music tied Alfred and Markus years ago, and after a joint performance one night they saw Brendan perform Lonely Me at legendary Kaufleuten’s (Zurich) open mic night, and were so enchanted by his style and sound that they vowed to get into touch with him. Weeks later the first of the Rhine valley sessions took place, and the rest is history…
Enjoyment is what the Brendan Adams Trio will bring to your stereo or stage. The songs come easy and deep as vintage wine and you can play them over and over. You might get up and dance or just sit, relax and let the music touch your soul. Or, as Brendan, a straight down-to-earth guy would say: just ‘B’!!!
